Submission Guidelines
FILES
Mixes should be stereo WAV or AIFF files, bounced at the same bit depth & sample rate you’ve been working at — likely 24 bit / 44.1 kHz. (MP3s aren’t suitable.)
It’s super helpful to keep your file names simple & consistent, starting with the intended track #. Note alternate versions or references after the title, e.g. 01 Weekend Weather_INSTRUMENTAL
LIMITING, ETC.
Remove any limiting, but ensure that peak levels don’t hit 0 dBFS. You don’t necessarily have to remove all bus processing — if it sounds good, it sounds good! — but less is often more. If you or your clients have been listening to loud/limited reference mixes, please include MP3s so I can hear what’s been approved.
FADES
Include an unfaded version of any songs with fades so I have the flexibility to improve or recreate them. Always leave a little silence at the top & tail of your tracks.
